Woman Dies in Poonch due to ‘Wrong Injection’

Jammu: A woman fell unconscious and died when she was allegedly given a ‘wrong injection’ by a chemist in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police sources here today said one Gulshan Kousar, a resident of village Chhajjala, tehsil Mendhar, last evening visited the Sub-District Hospital in Mendhar for a medical check-up as she was suffering from cold and fever.
''She was prescribed injection by the doctor on duty following which she visited the nearby medical store for the dose but she reportedly had a reaction when a chemist namely Shahid Ahmad of village Jughal, administered her wrong injection,'' police sources added.(Agencies)
