Srinagar: Zahid’s death triggered shutdown in Anantnag town and Betengoo his native village located along the highway. Amid huge deployment of forces people hit the streets and have blocked the highway.zahids mother Intense clashes are reported between forces and protesters in the area against the killing of 24 year old Zahid. Forces are using teargas canisters to disperse the stone throwing youth. The protesters were on till last reports came in. Meanwhile, the JKLF Chairman Mohammad Yasin Malilk called for a complete shutdown on Monday against the killing. He condemned the death of innocent who was set afire by the right wing activists in Udhampur district. The protesters have placed the massive wooden logs on Highway and disrupted the traffic movement. Eye witnesses said that huge number of trucks and other vehicles remain stranded on the Highway on both sides due to ongoing protests.
