3 killed, 10-month-old baby among 2 injured in Rajouri accident

 Two women among three persons lost their lives while two others including and a 10-months-old baby sustained injuries in a road accident that took place at Targain in Budhal area of Kotranka sub division of Rajouri district on Thursday.

The accident took place when a car nearing registration number JK11F-8759 on the way to Samote from Targain plunged into a roadside gorge at Targain.

In the accident, police officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), two women identified as Shah Jahan, wife of Mohammad Nazir and Shenaz Akhter, wife of Mohammad Altaf Shah lost their lives on the spot.

However, police said that three other injured persons including a 10-,pmths-old baby were rescued from the spot and taken to Community Health Center Kandi where from they were shifted to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri where one of the injured Ayub Shah, son of Nabi Shah of Targain succumbed to his injuries, taking death toll in the accident to three.

Another injured of the accident was referred to GMC Jammu in critical condition and he has been identified as Akbar Shah, son of Mehandi Shah of Targain.

Police said that the 10-months-old baby girl had received minor injuries in the incident and has been hospitalised but is out of danger.
