Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government Tuesday said that about three lakh households have no electricity in the state.
According to KNS correspondent, in response to a question during the ongoing Assembly session the government said that 2,96,344 households are still reeling under darkness.
As per figures, Jammu has the highest number of households (1,87169) without electricity compared to the Kashmir valley (1,09175).
In Kashmir, Kupwara has maximum (32577) while Ganderbal has minimum (4427) homes without electricity.
In Jammu province, the district Jammu has maximum (57986) while Udhampur has minimum (2183) households lacking electricity. (KNS)
