Union Bank of India donates ₹1 crore towards flood relief, presents cheque to CM

Several MLAs call on CM to discuss developmental issues of their constituencies

Union Bank of India today extended support to the ongoing flood relief efforts in Jammu and Kashmir by contributing ₹1 crore. A cheque was formally handed over to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at Civil Secretariat here.

Expressing gratitude, the Chief Minister appreciated the gesture of the Bank, noting that such contributions would significantly aid in relief and rehabilitation measures for the affected people. He said collective efforts from institutions and individuals play a crucial role in helping the State recover from the calamity.

Meanwhile, Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Banihal, Sajjad Shaheen and MLA Budhal, Javid Iqbal, called on the Chief Minister at the Civil Secretariat. They discussed key developmental issues concerning their respective constituencies and sought the Government’s intervention in addressing the pressing needs of the people.

The Chief Minister assured them that the concerns raised would be duly examined and appropriate steps taken to ensure balanced development across all regions.(JKNS)
