Jammu: A man was killed and another got injured after army allegedly fired upon them in Kohli area of Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Gujjar, however died on spot while his colleague Ahmad was shifted to district hospital Ramban for treatment.
Both the victims were involved in the cattle trade and police has lodged an FIR against the accused Unit.
Meanwhile, the reports said that the locals claim to have heard gun shots at 11 PM last night.
SSP Ramban Mohan Lal said an FIR has been registered against 58 RR of the army at Dharamkund police station.
“Further investigation is on,” he told media.
However, the army has not yet commented on the incident.
“We are on the job and getting details of the incident,” the army officer was quoted by PTI news agency.
