Srinagar: Sajad Gani Lone led Peoples Conference has decided to participate in the upcoming local body elections. Lone took to Twitter and announced his decision.
“Peoples Conference will take part in the upcoming elections. But given the rules we unfortunately won’t have a common symbol,” he tweeted.
Confirming his decision, Lone said that his party will participate in the upcoming Panchayat and Local Bodies elections.
Pertinently, National Conference, Peoples Democratic Party, CPI(M), Democratic Party Nationalist, BSP and Awami National Conference have already decided to boycott these elections while Congress like BJP and Peoples Conference will take part in elections.
