Gunshots were heard during a cordon and search operation (CASO) launched by security forces in Shopian district on Saturday, officials said.
Officials said a joint search operation was launched by security forces in the Saidpora area following intelligence inputs about suspicious movement. During the operation, a few gunshots were heard, though there was no immediate report of any casualties.
Senior security officials were monitoring the operation, which was continuing when the report was filed.
