Youth Killed In Clashes After Polling In Langate

Srinagar: A teenage youth was on Thursday evening killed in clashes with government forces that broke out after the polling in the evening hours in Langate area of Kupwara district which is part of Baramulla parliamentary constituency.
Reports said as youth took to streets in Mandigam village of Langate and pelted stones on government forces triggering clashes during which one teenaged youth identified as Owais Ahmad Mir resident of Mandigam was killed.
Hospital sources at district hospital Handwara said that the slain teenaged youth was brought to the hospital for treatment but he was declared brought dead.
Meanwhile SSP Handwara Ashish Mishra when contacted told Kashmir News Service (KNS), “FIR has been registered and investigations are underway to probe the incident.” (KNS)
