I Belong To Anantnag District, People Don’t Know Where From Omar Comes: Mehbooba

Date:

The Legitimate  Anantnag District

Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti Thursday hit out at the centre on Enforcement Directorate (ED) summons to Shabir Shah’s daughter Sama Shabir Shah and Omar Abdullah over his remark on low turnout in Mehbooba’s home constituency Bijbehara, saying that, “I belong to Anantnag district but people don’t know where Omar Abdullah’s home is?”

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of an election rally at Kulgam, Mehbooba in response to a volley of questions, according to Kashmir News Service (KNS) correspondent said, “After NIA summons to Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and JKLF chief Yasin Malik, the ED sending summons to Shabir Shah’s daughter is very shameful for the whole country,” adding that, “Modi government is harping on Balakot strikes and atrocities on innocent Kashmiris.”

In reply to a questions on Omar Abdullah’s recent remark over lowest turnout in Bijbehara her home town and Anantnag from where she was elected to assembly last time by a margin of over 12 thousand votes, Mehbooba hit back at Omar and said, “The whole Anantnag district is my home but don’t know where Omar Abdullah’s home is. Claiming victory is a frustration as it seems Omar Abdullah is not bothered about voters of Kulgam, Pulwama and Shopian districts going to polls in next two rounds.” She refuted the reports about the presence of employees of one of her party leaders in an election rally in Pulwama and said opponents are trying to make out an issue out of brute frustration while the fact remains that PDP’s party workers but not the employees attended the election rally.
