Atishi, an AAP candidate broke out in a press conference and accused the former Cricketer Gautam Gambhir of forging a vicious derogatory note against her.
Cricketer Ghambir had joined the BJP recently and is fighting from the East Delhi Lok Sabha seat against Aatshi.
‘‘I have never joined politics for earning money or striking controversies’’, she said prior to reading a pamphlet which was taking rounds in East Delhi area.
In the pamphlet there are shocking and personal details thrown out in public regarding by some anonymous author and Atishi termed it as an attempt to tarnish her image.
She accused Ghambir for doing so.
The note reads: ‘‘she is a mixed breed, herself belongs to Jat family and was a primary school teacher’’.
However, BJP and its candidate Gautam Gambhir, have denied of having any association with this pamphlet.
Gambhir’s Media Manager while taking to India Today News has said that AAP has an old track of playing such dirty politics. He said that there are no evidences that can claim his party candidate Gambhir guilty of forging any such paper.
After, retiring from Cricket Gambhir joined politics and BJP awarded him the ticket for Lok Sabha from east Delhi.
