2 Pak Army Men Killed In Uri Sector: Army

Date:

The Indian army on Wednesday said that two Pakistani soldiers got killed in a cross border firing in Uri sector of North Kashmir.

The sources in the army said that the Indian army retaliated to ‘unprovoked’ firing from Pakistan in the Garhi Dupatta area of Chakhoti.

The two soldiers who were killed belonged to the Artillery unit and sources said that the same unit was involved in ceasefire violations in the past in the same sector.

They identified the soldiers as Lance Havildar Zulqurnain and Naik Shafique.

Amid India-China standoff in Ladakh, the reports of ceasefire violations alongside the International Border (IB) and Line of Control between Pakistan and India army witnessed a surge in the last few months.
