Tral Gunfight: House Set Ablaze, Firing Stops

Srinagar: The exchange of fire has stopped at the gunfight as the forces detonated the house in which the militants were trapped in Tral region of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.

Reports said that the forces set ablaze the residential house in which the militants were in Chankitar village.

“There has been no exchange of fire during past half an hour. The searches are underway,” said an official, adding that there was no report of any casualties.

The gunfight broke out in the village today afternoon after the forces launched a cordon-and-search-operation in the area.

Three militants were believed to be trapped inside the house.
