AIIMS in Kashmir Will be at South Kashmir’s Awantipora

Srinagar: The prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) will be set up at Awantipora in Pulwama district of South Kashmir.
According to sources, the decision to select the place for the institute was decided in a high level meeting convened by the states Health Minister Chowdary Lal Singh who directed later concerned officers to identify the land for it.
The work on its construction is likely to start in next few months with Union Health Minister JP Nadda likely to lay its foundation stone during his coming visit.
