Srinagar: Bharatiya Janta Party MLC, Surinder Ambardar, today thanked Prime Minister Narender Modi for announcing a package of 80,000 crore for the state of Jammu and Kashmir. “This package will transform the state into one of the modern, progressive and prosperous states of the country” he added

Ambardar also stated that this historical package announced by Prime Minister has all the components which will benefit all the sections of the society living in Jammu and Kashmir as the package which is one of its kinds will help this state in achieving new heights of development

BJP MLC, while elaborating on the package components, said that Rs. 7854 crorehas been kept for flood relief, reconstruction and flood management which includes monetary help to people for reconstruction of damaged houses and for infrastructure; restoration of livelihood for traders and small businessmen. Rs. 42611 crore has been kept for Road and highway projects which  includes construction of social tunnel; semi ring roads in Jammu and Srinagar; projects under Bharat Mala for better connectivity; and up-gradation of important highway and other projects in the State. He further Added that Power, New and Renewable Energy ,Health, Human Resource Development, Skill Development and sports,Agriculture and Food Processing, Tourism, Urban Development, Security and Welfare of displaced people, Pashmina Promotion Project all of these components have been included the package

While briefing on the component of Security and welfare of displaced people, BJP MLC said that Rs 2000 crore have been kept for the Rehabilitation of the employees who have been appointed in the PM Package, which includes creating of new 3000 jobs for the displaced community and construction of transit accommodation for the employees, who have been and will be appointed under PM package. He further added that Rs 1,080 has been kept for additional jobs and Rs 200 crore for purchasing of the land and Rs 720 crore for construction of the Transit accommodation, which will act as a huge Confidence Building Measure for the displaced community

Ambardar further added that the previous governments had just provided the jobs for the displaced community however there were no concrete steps taken for the rehabilitation of the employees who had gone to valley for the jobs as they have been living on sharing basis which used to hamper their personal lives to greater extent however this government led by visionary Prime Minister Narender Modi has kept the provision of providing better facilities to all the employees who had or will be going to valley for which the entire displaced Kashmiri Pandit Community extend their gratitude to Prime Minister as this step will boost the confidence of the entire KP samaj. BJP State Spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan was also present in the press conference.
