Ambedkar's visionary leadership continues to guide national journey: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday spearheaded the nation’s tributes to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on his Mahaparinirvan Diwas, honoring him as a towering figure who championed justice, equality, and constitutionalism.


In a post on X, PM Modi stated, “Remembering Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on Mahaparinirvan Diwas. His visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to justice, equality and constitutionalism continue to guide our national journey.”


The Prime Minister also paid floral tribute to the chief architect of the Indian Constitution at the Parliament complex.


He emphasized Ambedkar’s lasting contributions to India’s development, adding, “He inspired generations to uphold human dignity and strengthen democratic values. May his ideals keep lighting our path as we work towards building a Viksit Bharat.”


Dr Ambedkar passed away on December 6, 1956. His enduring legacy was also commemorated by other political leaders and numerous dignitaries, all of whom highlighted his indispensable role in shaping India’s democratic foundations.
