Amid Hostility, Pak PM Bats For Talks With India

Srinagar: Amid hostility between the two countries India and Pakistan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan on Wednesday offered talks with India, saying better sense should prevail between both the countries.
In an address to nation today, cricketer-turned-politician, Imran Khan said, “Following India struck yesterday in Balakot, we waited to take action and our action was aimed to convey that if you can come into our country, we can do the same.”
He said it is imperative that we (India and Pakistan) use heads and act with wisdom. “All wars are miscalculated, and no one knows where they lead to. World War I was supposed to end in weeks, it took six years. Similarly, the war on terrorism was not supposed to last 17 years. I ask India that with weapons you have and the weapons we have, can we really afford a miscalculation?”
If this escalates, it will no longer be in his control or in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s control. “Let’s sit together and settle things with talks,” Khan added. (KNS)
