Authorities Place Mirwaiz Under House Arrest

Srinagar: The police on Tuesday placed Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, Chairman Huriyat (M) under house arrest ahead of a meeting of all pro freedom and trade leaders he had called at Rajouri Kadal against the “government tyranny” in valley.
Several other pro freedom leaders who were planning to attend the meeting were also placed under house arrest by the authorities.
