Bangladesh: Ex-PMO principal secretary Nojibur Rahman arrested

Detectives of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested Bangladesh’s former prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s principal secretary and also former National Bureau of Revenue (NBR) chairman Md Nojibur Rahman in Gulshan, Dhaka, late on Sunday, media reports said on Monday.

Rezaul Karim Mallik, additional deputy commissioner (ADC-DB) of the DMP, confirmed the matter to the media, the Dhaka Tribune reported.

Nojibur served as the PMO principal secretary and NBR chairman during the tenure of the ousted Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the reports added.
