Pulwama: Dead body of a missing young woman of Shar Shali has been recovered from river jehlium by Police Pampore near Khankahbagh Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday afternoon.
Officials said a body was spotted by some locals and they accordingly informed police who rushed to the spot and took body into their custody.
They identified her as Rukhsana Akhtar (26) Daughter of Ali Mohammad Bhat a resident of Shar Shali village in Khrew belt of Pampore.
They said that said lady was missing since 18 January after which her family had filed her missing report and had sought help from police and public to help them in tracing her.
They further added that body of deceased was taken to Sub district hospital Pampore and after conducting autopsy,her body was handed over to her family members for last rites and investigation in this regard has been taken up. (PTK)
