Cabinet to Meet Thursday in Jammu

Srinagar: State cabinet is meeting at 10:00 am on Thursday in Jammu under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, sources said.

Highly placed sources told KNS that the first cabinet meeting in the winter capital after Darbar Move assumes importance after Prime Minister’s announcement of Rs 80,000 cr developmental package for the state.

The cabinet, as per sources, will take a final call on the rehabilitation of people dislocated due to Kishenganga project in Bandipora district.

They added that the cabinet will finalize the transfer of land for two AIIMS to be set up in both Kashmir and Jammu divisions. “Also the matter of winter secretariat in Srinagar will come up for discussion,” sources added.   

Chief Minister who was outside state for five days will chair the important cabinet meeting tomorrow in civil secretariat Jammu. (KNS)
