SRINAGAR: The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir has expressed serious concern over the losses caused to orchards due to early snowfall in Kashmir valley, expressing dismay over the losses.
G.A. Mir also expressed concern over the power crisis, saying that even after 22 hours, the PDD has filed to restore power supply so far and urged upon the Government to take effective measure to restore the basic facilities to ensure that people do not suffer on account of electricity, essentials, road clearance etc.
JKPCC President said this while interacting with prominent Party activities in Anantnag, who apprised him about the damages caused to orchards, electric lines and roads leading to the towns and Highways due to the snowfall.
He expressed serious concern over the losses caused orchards and emphasized the Government to assess the damages for compensation to affected Orchardists, as that, they have suffered losses immensely
JKPCC President emphasized that effective measures be put in place to restore the traffic on National Highway, although the authorities dealing with the National highly are making all out efforts to restore the NH, but at the same time, they need to ensure safety of people, besides uninterrupted supply of essentials to valley, Mir added. The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has described the upcoming elections to the Mayor and Deputy in Srinagar Municipal Corporation a good opportunity for the amalgam of Congress led secular front to defeat the BJP RSS and their communal ideology, urging upon other right thinking elected Corportors of Srinagar to vote infavour of Congress led Candidates on 6th of this month.
In a Statement issued, the JKPCC Spokesperson while commenting on the Corporation elections said the Elections to the Mayor and Deputy Mayor was good opportunity to keep BJP RSS at bay, as that the Saffron Party have planned to grab the corporation through PC, which has to be defeated inorder to keep the communal forces out, he said
The PC which has some Members in its packet in the Corporation has fielded the Candidates for the post of Mayor and Dy. Mayor, which shows how BJP RSS were desperate enough to make inroads in Srinagar through Municipal Corporation, although Congress led Secular amalgam will win both Mayor and Deputy Mayor with an overwhelming majority, but the PC supported by BJP RSS should face a strong defeat to ensure victory of Congress led secular front.
