Centre Approves Reduction in Percentile For NEET Aspirants

The qualifying percentiles required for admissions to NEET PG courses have been approved with reduction by the Centre.

It has been made convenient in a decision taken by the Ministry of Health in consultation with Board of Governors and MCI Medical Council of India.

For General category it has been reduced to 44 now. For people with varied abilities/disabilities will be 39 and for OBC like SC/ST will be 34 percentiles.

In an official announcement, “the listed percentiles will become eligible for admission for admission to Post Graduate courses for the academic year 2019-2020.

The centre directed all the states and union territories for putting into implementation the revised qualifying lists, and make all necessary arrangements to conduct the upcoming NEET, PG tests.

NEET, formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test is an entrance examination in India for students who want to study different graduate and post graduate medical courses and dental courses in government or private Medical and dental colleges.
