Sadarkote Bala Massacre: Accused Wali Sent To Judical Custody Till May 11

The person responsible for 1996 Sadarkot Bala massacre was sent to judicial custody after being produced by police before the court in Bandipora district of North Kashmir. An official said that Wali, Mohammad Mir who is the main culprit responsible for Sadarkot Massacre was produced before principal district and session court of Bandipora after he got arrested by place yesterday.

The official said that Wali- the government gunman was sent to judicial custody by principal district and sessions judge Bandipora. He further added, ‘’ Wali has been sent to Kupwara district jail and police has been told to produce him on May 11 for hearing of the case and charges against him.’’

Wali got arrested by police on Tuesday, after receiving specific information of the location he was hiding at. He was an absconder trying to evade his arrest from last 23 years. Wali was wanted in infamous Sadarkot Bala massacre.

He has upon him charges of killing 7 people, including two females, on October 5 of 1996, at Sadarkot Bala village.

He was also involved in case FIR no. 125/1996 u/s 302, 307,325,341 RPC 7/27 arms Act of P/S Sumbal.

Police in a statement said that he was a culprit involved in the ruthless killings of 7 people, [5 men &2 women] and had also injured few other persons.

Police said, “Number of warrants were issued by the District and Session Judge Bandipora against the wanted, but he was absconding untill he got arrested on yesterday.
