SRINAGAR: The Governor’s Administration today accorded sanction for constitution of a State Level Co-ordination Committee to coordinate and resolve inter-departmental issues for setting up of Institutions of Central Government like IIT and IIM in the State.
According to the order, the committee will be headed by Administrative Secretary, Higher Education Department.
The members will be Administrative Secretary, Technical Education Department, Chief Conservator of Forests, Jammu, Chief Engineer, M&RE, Jammu, Chief Engineer, Public Health Engineering Jammu, Chief Engineer, Public Works (R&B), Jammu, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu/Samba, Director IIM Jammu, Director IIT Jammu and Chief Engineer, CPWD, North Zone Jammu.
The terms of the reference of the State Level Coordination Committee shall be to coordinate and resolve inter-departmental issues among the State Government Departments and to coordinate with the autonomous institutions established under various centrally sponsored schemes, for timely redressal of issues with line departments of State Government.
The committee shall be serviced by the Higher Education Department.
