Srinagar: Scores of contractual Assistant Professors Saturday staged a protest here at Press enclave demanding framing a job policy for their regularization.

The protesters assembled at Press enclave under the banner of Contractual Assistant Professors Forum (CAPF). The protests were raising slogans–“we want justice”.

While talking to KNS, Muhammad Saqib, a contractual lecturer said that they are serving the department from last ten years but the government so far has failed to frame a job policy for them.

“We are working in different degree colleges, colleges and are giving our level best but the government has ignored us as after working in the department from long time as contractual, the government is yet to frame any policy for the well being of hundreds of assistant professors,” he said.

He said that previous regime assured them to frame a policy for their well being but the same felt flat on ground.

The protesters appealed that the government should frame a policy at earliest for the well being of hundreds of contractual professors who are working from many years in the department. (KNS)
