J&K Director General of Police, Nalin Prabhat today conducted a comprehensive review of the security scenario in North Kashmir, an official said.
The DGP, accompanied by the Inspector General of Police Kashmir, reviewed the security scenario and chaired a high-level meeting with district police chiefs of north Kashmir districts to assess the ground situation.
A police spokesman said the DGP later interacted with Special Operations Group (SOG) personnel of J&K Police and ground forces, appreciating their commitment and professionalism in maintaining peace and stability.
“DGP J&K Shri Nalin Prabhat (IPS), accompanied by IGP Kashmir, reviews the security scenario in North Kashmir districts. Chairs a meeting with district SSPs, followed by interactions with SOG personnel and ground forces to commend their dedication to maintaining peace & stability,” Kashmir Zone Police said in a post on X.
The DGP yesterday carried out an extensive review of the security of the ongoing Amarnath yatra along the Baltal Ganderbal axis.This year’s Yatra commenced on July 3 via the twin tracks of Nunwan?Pahalgam and Baltal Ganderbal. So far, over one lakh devotees have performed darshan at the sacred cave.
