Srinagar, May 20 (UNI) J&K’s Department of Information and Public Relations on Friday inked a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Film Development Corporation Limited for the upcoming first National Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir, an official spokesman said.
In the presence of Nitishwar Kumar, Principal Secretary to Lt Governor, the MoU was signed between Akshay Labroo, Director, Department of Information and Public Relations, J&K and D. Ramakrishnan, General Manager, NFDC.
The mega event which is scheduled to be held from June 15 -20 and is being jointly organised by the National Film Development Corporation Limited and Directorate of Information and Public Relations, J&K.
The purpose of the festival is to highlight and promote the creative ecosystem of the UT, besides branding J&K as the most preferred destination for filmmakers from the country and abroad.
Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, CEO, Mission Youth and Tanu Rai, Deputy Director, Directorate of Film Festivals and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
