Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh today chaired a DISHA meeting in Kishtwar to review the implementation of central flagship schemes, including Jal Jeevan Mission, PMAY, PMGSY, and PM-Kisan.
He directed the administration to expedite relief and rehabilitation after recent cloudbursts and floods, ensure timely delivery of water and power in far-flung areas, and improve health, education, and livelihood opportunities.
Dr Singh also said he would take up with the Civil Aviation Ministry the construction of an airstrip in Kishtwar under the Udaan scheme and asked officials to project funds under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund.
The Minister stressed involving public representatives in rural visits, upskilling local youth for NHPC projects, and creating awareness about Sansad Khel Spardha.
Deputy Commissioner Pawan Kumar Sharma informed that 100% targets under PMAY (Gramin) have been achieved, while ₹120.48 crore has been disbursed under PM-Kisan and ₹147.34 crore under KCC.(KINS)
