Young face of Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) Firdous Baba on Tuesday filed his nomination as an Independent candidate from Kupwara Assembly Constituency.
Baba, a former spokesman of the AIP, was accompanied by a large number of supporters during the filing of nominations.
Speaking on the occasion, Baba said his agenda is for the development and progress of Kupwara Assembly Constituency which has faced neglect and apathy.
“Under visionary leadership of Engineer Rashid, AIP would transform Kupwara into an oasis of prosperity,” he said
He made it clear that AIP believes in restoring the dignity of the common masses and would not let the people of Kupwara down.
Baba said the time has come to throw out hegemonic and dynasty-ridden forces from politics.
