Five people were killed in a horrific road accident in Haidergarh on Purvanchal Expressway when two cars collided and caught fire near Deeh village under the Subeha area. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon.
According to eyewitnesses, a car rammed into another vehicle parked on the expressway. The impact triggered a blaze that engulfed both the vehicles, leaving no chance for those inside to escape. Five people, including a woman and a teenage girl, were burnt alive on the spot.
Four others sustained severe injuries and were rushed to the Community Health Center (CHC) in Haidergarh. Police officials and local residents reached the site immediately, and an investigation is underway.
