Four army men militant killed in Kupwara gun battale

(AP Photo/Dar Yasin)   Kupwara: In a major gun battle that rages in Kupwara forests of North Kashmir, four.army men and a militant got killed. The encounter is still underway. Sources said that three dead bodies out of four army men have been retreived so far from Hafruda forests.

The encounter started after 6 Rashtriya Rifles launched the combing and search operation over the suspicious movement of militants here.

 During their over night search in the forest zone, the militants resorted. To heavy firing and killed four army men triggering an encounter. The area is seized and the operation is under way with the killing of one militant so far.

Another encounter between militants and forces is also underway in the Krusan area reportedly.
