 Amid reports that Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to visit Jammu on August 31 and September 1 to review the flood situation and pay respects at Katra, where 35 people lost their lives in a recent tragedy, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday clarified that the visit has not been confirmed yet.

Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma said that the Home Minister’s visit is not confirmed yet.

BJP MLA from Kishtwar Shagun Parihar also told KINS over phone, “We have no confirmation yet regarding the visit of Home Minister.”

BJP Media in- charge Jammu Pradeep Mahotra  maintained that he had no information about Shah’s visit.

Earlier in the day reports suggested that Home Minister Amit Shah may chair review meetings in flood-affected areas of Jammu division and take stock of the relief measures.(KINS)
