House of Red Fort blast accused demolished in Pulwama

Authorities demolished the residence of Dr. Umar Nabi, who is accused in the Red Fort blast case, in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Officials said the structure was demolished using a controlled explosion.

Locals stated that the area had been sealed by security forces and that residents were asked to vacate the house before the demolition.

Investigators have so far revealed that Dr Umar drove the i20 car that exploded near Red Fort, claiming several lives on Monday evening,

Although the J&K Police has not issued an official statement on the demolition, top officials said that such actions are aimed at discouraging local youth from joining militant ranks. According to them, the measure is intended to send a strong message that involvement in terror activities carries grave repercussions, not only for the individuals concerned but also for their families.
