IFFK showcases several films that depict resistance against war & violence : Mayor

 The 28th edition of International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) showcased several films that depict resistance against war and violence and holds a significant relevance in the current scenario, Thiruvananthapuram City Corporation Mayor Arya Rajendran said while inaugurating the delegate cell.

Renowned filmmaker Shyamaprasad commented that the festival plays a vital role in transforming the cinematic preferences of new generation audience across the state.

“IFFK is a key catalyst for the remarkable transformation observed in the contemporary Malayalam film industry,” he added.

“This is very close to my heart, feels like my second award”, quipped Vincy Aloshious, the Best Actress at Kerala State Film Awards 2022 while receiving the first delegate kit of IFFK from Shyamaprasad.

Kerala State Chalachitra Academy Chairman Ranjith presided over. Festival curator Golda Sellam, Academy Vice Chairman Premkumar, Secretary C Ajoy, Prakash Sreedhar, K G Mohankumar, H Shaji were also present in the function held at Tagore Theatre. The event also had a musical treat by the members of Kerala Secretariat Employees Association.
