Three children were killed and six others injured when a tractor in which they were travelling overturned after it fell from a culvert in Sadarpur area of Sitapur district in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday.
Police sources here said that the accident took place near Purav Bani village when the tractor fell from the culvert and overturned. “Aman (5), Ambrish (10) and Chhotu (12) were crushed under the tractor and died on the spot,” they said.
Police sources said that tractor driver Vishram (65), Nitin (11), Ashutosh (14), Avinash (10), Pradeep (8) and Shiv (10) were seriously injured in the incident and have been admitted to the hospital.
