India to become strong only under leadership of Nitish : Lalan

President Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh on Tuesday said goal of his party was to make India, a strong nation under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, presently Chief Minister of Bihar.
Singh while addressing party workers here said that all of them should work hard to give enough strength to Chief Minister Kumar so that India could become a strong and developed nation under his leadership.


No debate was being held on issues of public importance like price rise and unemployment under present regime in the country, he added.


” Airport, Railways and other public establishments are being privatised”, JD(U) leader said adding that only a handful corporate houses were getting benefits under BJP regime at the Centre.


A leading businessman who was at 9th position in the country in terms of his assets in the year 2013, had now moved up to 2nd position in the world, he added.


Singh said that no welfare and development work was being done in the country. Attempt was being done to create communal tension for electoral gains, he alleged.


JD(U) leader said that Chief Minister Kumar had given 50 percent reservation to women in panchayati Raj and local bodies in Bihar when voted to power in 2005.


Bihar was the first state in the country to do so while other states replicated the same later, he pointed out.


Kumar said that Extremely Backward Classes (EBCs) was the core voters of his party.
All other parties were contemplating to woo EBCs while they were looking towards Kumar with great expectations, he added.
