Iranian Army attacks several US bases in region in response for strikes: Command

The Iranian Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said that the Iranian army attacked several US bases in the region in retaliation for the US strikes, Press TV reported on Wednesday.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed to have launched a drone attack on US 5th Fleet forces in Bahrain in response to US strikes, Press TV reported.

The command reportedly added that if US aggression continues, more extensive strikes will be carried out against selected targets in the region.

On Tuesday night, the US Central Command said that the US forces had carried out strikes against Iran in response to the downing of the US Apache military helicopter. Later, Press TV reported that explosions were heard in Bandar Abbas, Sirik and Qeshm Island.

The IRGC also reportedly noted that US strikes damaged a telecommunications mast and destroyed two water reservoirs in Sirik.

Following the US strikes, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Wednesday that the Iranian military will not let any attack or threat go unanswered, and called on the United States to leave the region.

“Despite its defeats on the battlefield, the U.S. opted to test our determination. Our Powerful Armed Forces will leave no attack or threat unanswered. Leave our region if you want to be safe. History of the Persian Gulf has many chapters on dire fates of intruding outsiders,” Araghchi said on X.
