Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the southern town of Arad and vowed vengeance against Iran, saying that he would personally pursue senior commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) amid the escalating war.
Inspecting the damage, Netanyahu noted that the latest attacks highlighted the broader global threat posed by Iran.
“If you want proof that Iran endangers the entire world, the last 48 hours have given it,” he said. “In the last 48 hours, Iran targeted a civilian area. They’re doing that as a mass murder weapon.”
The strike on Arad, reportedly caused extensive damage to structures and facilities, though no fatalities were reported, with officials stating that this outcome was more of a fortunate fluke than anything else, as buildings were heavily damaged and fires broke out following the impact of ballistic missiles carrying heavy warheads.
Netanyahu framed Tel Aviv’s actions as part of a wider international effort against Tehran saying, “We’re working together for the entire world and it’s time to see the leaders of the rest of the countries join up”, echoing the US calls for broader global support in confronting what he described as
The Israeli leader also claimed that Iran had launched an intercontinental ballistic missile toward a joint US-UK military facility on Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean – a move that, if confirmed, would significantly widen the geographical scope of the conflict.
Referring to remarks by US President Donald Trump urging allied involvement, Netanyahu said the call was “for the security of the entire world”.
“They are putting everyone in their sights,” he noted.
Netanyahu said that the IDF’s campaign would intensify further, expanding beyond conventional military targets.
“We’re going after them personally, their leaders, their installations, their economic assets,” he added, reiterating, “We’re going after them personally.”
