Jammu Police have booked two criminals under Public Safety Act (PSA) and lodged them in District Jail Poonch.
The police spokesman here said that acting tough against criminals, Police have booked two hardcore criminals from RS Pura and Arnia areas under PSA and lodged both of them in District Jail Poonch.
A noted criminal namely Paramjeet Kumar alias Jungi of Draptey, Tehsil RS Pura District Jammu has been booked under PSA after obtaining formal detention orders from the District Magistrate, Jammu.
He further added that another hardcore criminal namely Shubam Saini alias Mundi of Arnia, who figure in multiple FIR’s in recent months, has also been booked under PSA after obtaining formal detention orders from the District Magistrate, Jammu.
Both the criminals have been subsequently lodged in District Jail Poonch .
Notably, the spokesman said that multiple FIR’s are already registered against these criminals in Jammu District and they have been successful in securing bails from courts so far. In order to avoid that, stringent PSA warrants have been issued through District Magistrate Jammu against these accused this time around, he added.
“Jammu Police is committed to ensure safety, security of people and all necessary measures are being taken to curb all the criminal activities including drug peddling and organised crime in the region,” he said.
