J&K: 5 anti-national activists booked under PSA in Kashmir

 Police have booked five alleged anti-national activists under Public Safety Act (PSA) in Kashmir.


Police said three accused anti-national activists identified as Maqsad Ali Kohli resident of Navarunda Uri, Mohammad Usman Bhat of Sahora Uri & Ghulam Nabi Wani have been booked under PSA after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent Authority.


Two others identified as Ghulam Din War, a resident of Naidkhai Sumbal and Firdous Ahmad Khan of Ward No.6 Nebrapora Bandipora were booked under PSA for their continuous involvement in Anti-National activities, Bandipora police said on X.


Police said “many cases were registered against these persons and were involved in disturbance of Law & Order and subversion. Despite their involvement in many FIR’s they did not mend their anti-national & anti-Social activities”.


The booked persons have been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Bhalwal Jammu.
