J&K: 5 injured after car skids off road in Dubjan Shopian

At least five persons were injured after a car skidded off the road in the Dubjan area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday, officials said.


They said the accident took place near an Army camp in Dubjan when a Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, driven by Sunil Kumar, a resident of Jawhar Nagar in Rajouri, reportedly lost control and veered off the road.


All five occupants sustained injuries in the mishap. The injured were identified as Sunil Sharma, Aarun Kumar, Parti Verma, Parvadi Chandan and Dau Shanker, all residents of Jawhar Nagar, Rajouri.


Soon after the incident, the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their condition was stated to be stable.


Meanwhile, police reached the spot and took cognizance of the incident.
