“During investigation, the property was identified as an illegally acquired asset generated through proceeds of drug trafficking and was subsequently attached after completion of all requisite legal formalities under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act,” police said.
The cumulative value of the attached properties and vehicles exceeds Rs 4 crore, marking another significant step towards dismantling the financial infrastructure of narcotics networks operating in the district.
Meanwhile, as part of its ongoing drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, police in Anantnag conducted extensive narcotics-related raids in various hotels located in the Mavoora, Rafting Point, and Yanner areas of Pahalgam Sub-Division.
Police said the operation was carried out by six police teams under the supervision of SDPO Pahalgam.
Multiple hotel premises were searched based on credible inputs, with the objective of preventing the use of tourist accommodations for narcotics-related activities and strengthening vigilance against drug networks.
