Srinagar: At a time when JK Cement Ltd run in losses and is unable to pay salaries to it’s employees, it has re-employed some blue-eyed retired persons and is paying them hefty sums as salaries.
Reliable sources told news agency CNS that the said re-employed officer is currently in Kolkatta to procure coal for the undertaking. “The incumbent MD JK Cements entrusted the task of procuring coal from Kolkatta to this officer as he is his favourite one.
“JK Cements is unable to pay salaries to us from past three months and yet it is re-employing those retired from the service. From 3 years Rs 16 crore has been deducted from our CP Fund but not a single penny has been deposited so far,” said one of the members of JK Cements Union.
Efforts to reach out MD JK Cements Ltd, Atul Sharma didn’t materialize as he didn’t pick up the repeated phone calls. (CNS)
