The forest fire started from across the border on Wednesday triggered landmine blasts along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources said that the forest fire spread close to the LoC in the woods of Krishna Ghati sector of Mendhar Sub-division, adding, “around six landmines exploded due to the wild fire but no injury or casualty was reported.”
“Army troops are on alert and keeping close watch along the Line of Control while army personnel along with the fire fighters are on job to douse the flames,” they said.
