A fierce gunfight broke out between security forces and terrorists early morning on Wednesday in the woods of Chatroo in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The White Knight Corps in a post on X said, “In an intelligence-based operation, in concert with police, in the early morning hours today, alert troops of the White Knight Corps have established contact with terrorists in the general area of Chatroo.”
The fire was exchanged with terrorists, and the encounter was triggered while the operation was in progress, they said.
Meanwhile, officials said that intermittent firing is in progress.
