Urges students to embrace creativity and humanity

The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary (CS) Dr Arun Kumar Mehta on Thursday said that the Union Territory is a “very safe and peaceful place across the globe.”
As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), during his visit to the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Budgam district, the CS addressed the students, praising Jammu and Kashmir as a safe and peaceful place globally.
He also said that the Valley has a beautiful climate with four different colourful seasons and asked the students to cherish all of it during their tenure at NIFT Srinagar.
He further advised the students to use their potential to the best of their capacity and create a niche in Fashion and Designing besides Art and Craft.
“Be a good human being first, and then you can become the best designer. Serve society with your talents,” he advised the students.
He also praised UT for its leading role in organizing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav events, celebrating 75 years of Independence. The government’s commendable achievements in e-governance were acknowledged as well.
