Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday attached the property of one terrorist settled in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir in the Ramban district under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.

Police spokesman here said that the Police attached property under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act in Dharamkund area of District Ramban.

In a significant move to combat terrorism, the Police have attached a property, i.e., agricultural land measuring 1 Kanal 11 marla, under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967.

The land, registered in the name of one PoK settled terrorist, Ali Mohd alias Ibrahim Sheikh, resident of Sumbar, Tehsil and District Ramban has been attached, he said, adding, ” property has been duly recorded in revenue records, and notices prohibiting their sale or transfer have been served under the UAPA.”

The attachment is linked to cases under relevant sections in Dharamkund and was executed in the presence of the Police team and an Executive Magistrate, ensuring full compliance with legal procedures.

This action marks a significant milestone in the ongoing investigation into unlawful and subversive activities in the region, he said.

Ramban Police, in collaboration with other agencies, remain resolute in their mission to take stringent measures against individuals and entities involved in activities threatening the sovereignty and integrity of the Nation, he added.
