The Jammu and Kashmir Police in partnership with Punjab Police, Himachal Pradesh Police, and experts from IIT Jammu on Monday conducted a collaborative exercise on digital arrest to strengthen inter-agency coordination against cybercrime.

The session chaired by ADGP PHQ, Manish Kumar Sinha featured a detailed case study on Punjab Police’s Digital Arrest cases, showcasing best practices in using advanced tools and cross-border collaboration to apprehend cybercriminals.

As per the officials, key discussions focused on leveraging AI and ML for cyber defense, freezing fraudulent transactions swiftly, creating a unified repository for fraud data, and sensitizing judiciary members to emerging cybercrime trends.

“This exercise reinforces the commitment to building a secure and resilient digital ecosystem through innovation and collaboration,” the meeting discussed.
