The Jammu and Kashmir RTI Foundation held an extraordinary meeting yesterday, chaired by the ex-Chairman J&K RTI Foundation Er Irfan Banka and joined by other executive members of the Foundation in order to change the structure of the management policy,
The executive body unanimously voted in favor of Gulzar Ahmad Bhat and was designated as chairman of the organisation. In addition, Akhtar Ali has been named vice-chairman of the Organisation.
Meanwhile, Er Irfan Banka, the former Chairman of the J&K RTI Foundation will now be the Spokesperson, and Shah Khalid was appointed as a Deputy Spokesperson of the organisation.
The former Spokesperson, Sheikh Maqbool has been nominated as a Coordinator, Karar Reshi as Media Coordinator, Arif Ismaiel as a secretary, and Riyaz Ahmad Bhat has been nominated as the Accountant.
Speaking at the meeting, the chairman suggested to the executive council that members should be willing to work for the well-being of the society and create a fair environment in a transparent manner that focuses on important issues related to the general public.
Moreover, the council had lauded the role of former Chairman Er Irfan Banka and his Contribution towards the organisation and applauded his success stories, his desire, and will towards the RTI Act.
